Emergency material assistance

Emergency vouchers are available to registered clients of The Salvation Army and can be used at local Thrift Stores for essential items such as clothing, furniture, and household goods. Additional emergency needs are assessed on an individual basis.

Over the past year, The Salvation Army has provided more than $3,000 in emergency vouchers to support individuals and families in need across the Sunshine Coast.

Community Crisis Response Unit

Our Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) volunteers are trained to provide mobile canteen support for first responders during emergencies.

In the event of a natural disaster, EDS teams are also prepared to serve meals and provide support to affected community members using the EDS van.
